You will find us just 30 minutes north of Peterborough, where Deer River runs into Lower Buchhorn Lake on the north shore.
>From Hwy. 28 at Burleigh Falls: Turn west on Hwy 36., or
>From Hwy. 23 at the Village of Buckhorn: turn east on Hwy 36.
At 6 km along Hwy 36 from eigther point take Deer Bay Reach Rd. south.
Travel 2 km down the paved road towards the lake until you come to a bridge over Deer River.
720 Deer Bay Retreat overlooks a quiet inlet of the lake and the rapids just below the bridge.

You can launch your boat at our boat launch, or dock here if you arrive via the Trent-Severn Waterway.
The lake and river offers excellent pickerel / walleye fishing. You can even catch them from our dock in the spring and early summer, but later in the season you may have to jig in deeper water in Deer Bay and Buckhorn Lake.
The B&B is suitable for one couple at a time with accommodation in a private Guest House:
