Trying to get away from the city of Toronto to complete our pilgrimage to the Bay of Quite from 45 is like trying to pull your big boots out of the muck of a slippery creek bed. First you have to finish off all the endless items on your 'lists', then answer all the phone messages, advise everyone that you are going away, arrange for the pets, plants, ad infinitum. Pack the gear, pack the food, pack the car, pack the kids (don't forget anyone), and take off.

This is all worth the effort, because as soon as you get mobile on the watercraft, breath the fresh air of Buckhorn Lake, open up the throttles, and settle in to a refreshing routine of sun, sea and r&r, your entire perspective changes, and you quickly forget the hassles of pulling out of the city.
